A lighter take on our equestrian classic, the Thermatex Lightweight Cooler Rug in rich navy with red binding brings the same trusted wicking technology as the Original Cooler in a lighter weight, single-knit fabric designed for warmer conditions.
Ideal after exercise, during travel or as a smart summer show rug, it helps draw moisture away from the coat while keeping your horse comfortable. Its lightweight construction also makes it an excellent under-layer when temperatures fall, adding warmth without unnecessary bulk.
Individually hand-cut for a precise fit and pre-shrunk to retain its shape, the Lightweight Cooler is practical, versatile and made to last.

Fit
- Order one size SMALLER than your normal rug size. The fabric moulds to the horse
- Rug sizes are based on length: centre of chest, along the side, to the base of the tail
- Neck: from just in front of the wither, in a slight curve, to the centre of the chest, then double it
- Depth: from the centre of the back down to where you want the rug to finish
- Between sizes? Go down, not up

Care
- Machine washable at home, even the largest sizes
- Wool or gentle cycle at 30°C, short spin
- Do not tumble dry
- Pre-shrunk and colour fast, so it keeps its shape and colour wash after wash
