While Riding
To keep your horse better focused:
- Ideal for horses that always seem to notice everything around them.
- Suitable for naturally skittish horses.
- Useful in new situations that may frighten the horse, such as competitions at unfamiliar locations or trail rides in new environments.
During Loading – While Transporting
- Suitable for young horses that haven’t been transported often, as well as older horses with potential bad memories of a certain trip.
- Also effective for horses that cannot stand still in a truck or trailer.
- These masks are frequently used for horses that need to fly. For these situations, it’s important to choose versions with Velcro closures to prevent clips from getting caught in hay nets.
In Various Stressful Situations
- During farrier visits.
- During dental checks or treatments.
- During veterinary visits.
- The first time in a spa or on a treadmill, etc.
- In a new environment or stable.
When Stall Rest is Necessary
- If your horse is required to have stall rest after a treatment, keeping them calm is essential.
- During a rehabilitation period.
Important Tip!
For the best effect, put the mask on 1 to 2 hours in advance. This varies per horse, so you may need to experiment a bit. For disciplines where the mask cannot be used while riding, it’s recommended to put it on the horse a few hours before the event. Then, remove the mask before saddling up and replace it with a Fenwick ear bonnet.
Why Choose Fenwick?
There are now several so-called calming masks on the market. The American Fenwick Liquid Titanium masks are the originals and have proven their effectiveness for years. The patented fabric has often been imitated, but never successfully replicated.
